Nvidia

AI Helps Breast Cancer Care

Source: NVIDIA

NVIDIA Inception startups are using AI across breast cancer care, including imaging, risk assessment, and treatment decisions. The companies are developing tools designed to support clinicians at different points in the care process.

The Details:

  • About 40 million mammograms are performed in the U.S. each year, while a projected shortage of tens of thousands of radiologists could strain capacity. Some treatment decisions also depend on tests that can take weeks to return results.

  • iSono Health’s FDA-cleared ATUSA platform captures a standardized 3D breast scan in about two minutes per breast. Whiterabbit.ai’s FDA-cleared WRDensity assesses breast density from mammograms.

  • Ataraxis AI uses digital pathology and clinical data to predict treatment response and recurrence risk. SimBioSys creates 3D models of breast tumors and other soft tissue to provide insights for surgery and treatment planning.

  • ATUSA is commercially available through partner clinics in California, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and Washington, D.C. iSono Health also has a 3,200-patient clinical study underway.

NVIDIA says some technologies described are investigational and have not been approved by the U.S. FDA for commercial use. The work spans screening and treatment planning, while validation and regulatory approval remain important next steps.

Open AI

OpenAI is introducing visual ads in ChatGPT

OpenAI is introducing a new visual ad format in ChatGPT. The ads will initially appear during image generation and remain separate from generated images.

The Details:

  • The format gives advertisers a new way to showcase products and services through images while people explore ideas and make decisions.

  • Testing begins later this month in the U.S. with an initial group of advertisers. OpenAI says ads will not influence ChatGPT’s answers.

OpenAI is also expanding measurement tools and partnerships, including integrations with Hightouch, Tealium, and LiveRamp.

Safeworld

Safeworld Wants Safer AI Robots

Source: Safeworld

Safeworld is emerging from stealth with more than $12 million in seed funding to help make generative AI-powered robots safer. The company was founded by Carnegie Mellon University Safe AI Lab director Ding Zhao, startup executive Kyle Wong, and machine learning engineer Simo Rachidi.

The Details:

  • Robotic systems using generative AI can be harder to predict than traditional systems. Safeworld wants to evaluate these systems before robots are deployed around people.

  • Shine Capital and a16z Speedrun led the funding round. Box Group, Carnegie Mellon University Endowment, Innovation Endeavors, and SV Angel also invested. Safeworld tests robotic control systems in simulations with human models. It can create digital environments and run thousands of scenarios involving robots and people.

  • Safeworld is working with Gritt Robotics, whose robots operate alongside workers at solar farms. The company is still deciding whether to offer its technology as a platform for users, a services-based product, or both.

  • Its focus remains on testing safety situations, including people falling, crouching, running, or carrying objects near robots.

The team also wants third-party validation to help robot makers share safety information between competitors. Building safety standards is important as robots are designed and deployed.

How to Use Gemini Canvas to Visualize Google Sheets

Step 1: Open your spreadsheet
Open the Google Sheets file containing the data you want to visualize. For best results, use a native Google Sheets file rather than an Excel file.

Step 2: Create a Canvas
On your computer, choose Tools → Create a canvas, Insert → Create a canvas, or select Create a canvas from the bottom bar.

Step 3: Tell Gemini what to build
In the prompt box, describe the visualization you want. For example:

❝

“Create an interactive dashboard showing monthly sales, top products, revenue trends, and regional performance.”

Step 4: Review the result
Gemini creates the interactive visualization using data from that Sheet tab. You can use dashboards, galleries, calendars, Kanban boards, or other supported layouts.

Step 5: Refine it
Give Gemini follow-up instructions, such as:

❝

“Convert the dashboard to dark mode and add filters.”

Step 6: Edit or share
You can modify data directly in Canvas if you have edit access. Use View data to see the underlying spreadsheet data, or Copy link to share the Canvas.

Important: Canvas currently uses data from one Sheet tab, so organize the relevant data in a single tab before creating your visualization.

Prompt:

Create a premium, photorealistic product showcase of [PRODUCT], designed as one cohesive multi-angle editorial image. Use [PRODUCT COLOR/MATERIAL/STYLE] and preserve the exact same product design, proportions, materials, colors, branding, and details in every view.

Create a large hero view in the center/upper-left, plus smaller synchronized views showing: front, left side, right side, rear, top, bottom/underside, and 2–3 close-up detail shots. Arrange everything in a sophisticated grid/collage with clean separation and consistent scale.

Use a dark, luxurious studio background, dramatic softbox lighting, realistic shadows, subtle reflections, premium commercial photography, sharp textures, natural depth of field, and high-end editorial composition.

Add minimal elegant labels for each angle. Keep the product as the clear focal point. No duplicated design changes, distorted geometry, extra objects, or inconsistent details.
