Open AI

OpenAI Launches ChatGPT for Teens

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Teens, a version designed for users aged 13 to 17. It includes stronger protections around suicide, self-harm, and romantic or sexual conversations. The chatbot is also designed to support homework and learning rather than simply provide answers.

The Details:

  • Teenagers are already using AI for schoolwork, daily questions, and companionship.

  • OpenAI says the new version aims to provide a safer, age-appropriate experience while reducing the risk of unhealthy emotional relationships with AI.

  • OpenAI estimates whether a user is under 18 using factors including their queries. Users identified as minors are automatically placed in the teen version.

  • Parents and guardians can opt into controls such as quiet hours and limited safety notifications.

The rollout puts more focus on how AI companies protect young users. OpenAI is also limiting the chatbot from suggesting it has feelings, consciousness, or a personal relationship with the user.

Alibaba

Alibaba Releases Laptop-Ready AI Model

Alibaba has released Qwen3.8-27B, an open-weight AI model designed to run on consumer hardware such as laptops.

The Details:

  • The model has 27 billion parameters and is aimed at coding, professional work, research, and long-horizon agentic tasks. Alibaba says it can match the performance of a model 10 times its size.

  • The release puts Alibaba into a growing race to make powerful AI models usable directly on consumer devices.

  • Meta entered the same area last week with Muse Glimmer, a 30-billion-parameter open-weight model designed to run on a Mac or PC with one consumer graphics card.

  • Qwen3.8-27B is available as an open-weight model. Meta made Muse Glimmer available for free download under an Apache 2.0 license and plans to publicly release the weights of Muse Spark 1.2.

The key question is how these smaller, downloadable models perform in real-world use as AI moves closer to personal computers.

DeepSeek

DeepSeek Upgrades V4 Pro

DeepSeek’s V4 Flash ranks highly on AI leaderboards but completed only 53.8% of real-world agent tasks in Composio testing, according to VentureBeat.

The Details:

  • The results suggest that strong benchmark performance does not always mean an AI model can reliably complete complex, multi-step tasks in real-world workflows. Composio’s testing focused on how V4 Flash performs when working with tools and agent systems rather than only answering standard benchmark questions.

  • Composio tested DeepSeek V4 Flash across eight agent harnesses using 30 complex, multi-step tasks.

  • The model completed 129 of 240 runs, producing a 53.8% success rate. Only six of the 30 workflows passed across all harnesses. The tasks involved practical software tools, making the test different from traditional model benchmarks.

  • The report also highlights rising API prices for V4 Flash. That makes both task reliability and operating cost important when developers evaluate the model for agent-based applications.

DeepSeek’s model documentation lists V4 Flash at 284 billion total parameters, with 13 billion activated parameters, and support for a one-million-token context length.

How to Automate Meeting Prep with ChatGPT

  1. Gather your meeting details
Collect the meeting invite, attendee names, company information, previous emails, notes, and relevant documents. Upload them to ChatGPT or paste the key information.

  2. Create a meeting brief
    Use this prompt:

❝

“Analyze the meeting information I provided. Create a concise briefing covering the meeting purpose, attendees, key context, goals, and important issues I should know before joining.”

  1. Research the attendees
    Ask:

❝

“Based on the information provided, summarize each attendee’s role, likely priorities, interests, and concerns. Keep each profile brief and practical.”

  1. Review previous discussions
Upload previous meeting notes or conversations and prompt:

❝

“Summarize our previous discussions about [TOPIC]. Highlight decisions made, unresolved issues, commitments, and follow-up items.”

  1. Prepare talking points
    Use:

❝

“Create 5–7 talking points I should raise during this meeting. Prioritize topics that can help achieve the meeting’s main objective.”

  1. Generate smart questions
    Ask:

❝

“Give me 5 thoughtful questions to ask during the meeting based on the context. Avoid generic questions.”

  1. Prepare for objections
    Prompt:

❝

“Identify the most likely objections or difficult questions I may face and give me concise, professional responses.”

  1. Create a final cheat sheet
    Finally:

❝

“Turn everything into a one-page meeting cheat sheet with objectives, key facts, talking points, questions, risks, and recommended next steps.”

Tip: For recurring meetings, save your preferred prompt as a reusable template and update it with the latest meeting information each time.
