OpenAI
OpenAI Launches GPT-5.6-Cyber

OpenAI has introduced GPT-5.6-Cyber, a cybersecurity-focused model built on GPT-5.6 Sol. It is designed for susceptibility research, infiltration testing, event response, chance discovery, and highest development. The model has low refusals for certain high-risk, multiple-use cybersecurity tasks and is available through Daybreak Red for authorized security work.
The Details:
GPT-5.6-Cyber shows a major development in OpenAI's domestic cybersecurity testing.
It completed 95% of leading cybersecurity requests, compared with 1.5% for GPT-5.6 Sol and 57.3% for GPT-5.5-Cyber.
OpenAI says the model is also better at identifying novel zero-day vulnerabilities.
The model discovered CVE-2026-15903, a high-severity V8 vulnerability with a CVSS score of 8.8, which Google patched in July.
OpenAI also says it identified at least five mobile OS flaws, three critical database vulnerabilities, and more than 400 kernel vulnerabilities.
GPT-5.6-Cyber is currently available to trusted partners including Accenture, Cisco, Cloudflare, IBM, and others. OpenAI also warns that models with reduced safeguards carry additional misuse and misalignment risks.
Anthropic
Claude Adds AI Watermarks

Anthropic is adding an “invisible watermark” to AI-generated text from new Claude models. The watermark does not change the text’s meaning or readability and can travel with text when it is copied and pasted. It may also endure some editing. Claude models launched on or after August 2, 2026 support the marking feature.
The Details
The feature gives publishers, schools, and universities another way to inspect whether writing was produced with AI.
Anthropic says the move is part of its transparency commitments under the EU AI Act. It could also make it harder to present Claude-generated writing as entirely human-written.
The watermark applies to Claude-generated content worldwide, including Claude accessed through cloud providers.
Anthropic is also working on tools that will allow third parties to detect the markings and plans to bring the feature to older Claude models.
The system is not foolproof. Heavy editing, paraphrasing, translation, or mixing AI output with other writing can make the watermark undetectable. Anthropic is the second major AI lab to introduce text watermarking, following Google DeepMind’s SynthID technology.

Meta
Zuckerberg’s AI Vision

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is pushing a broad vision for artificial intelligence centered on giving people access to highly capable, personalized AI. In a new essay, Zuckerberg describes a future in which AI could help people create, learn, build businesses, and improve various aspects of their lives. Meta is also continuing its push toward more open AI models.
The Details:
Zuckerberg’s message puts access and personal control at the center of Meta’s AI strategy.
Rather than keeping the most powerful AI systems limited to a small group of companies or institutions, he argues for wider access.
That positions Meta differently from companies taking a more closed approach to frontier AI.
Zuckerberg’s essay is about 6,000–6,500 words and is titled “The Future is for Everyone.” Meta has also released Muse Glimmer, an open-weight AI model, as part of its broader AI push.
The bigger question is whether Meta can turn Zuckerberg’s ambitious AI vision into products people actually use. Personal AI agents, open models, and AI-powered devices are likely to remain major parts of Meta’s strategy.

Build a Website With ChatGPT
Turn a website idea into a working prototype with ChatGPT Work and Codex.
1. Start: Update the ChatGPT desktop app and open Work or Codex.
2. Plan: Create a project folder, describe your website idea, ask Work to plan the build, and save a one-page PRD.
3. Research: Ask Work to use sub-agents to research the information your website needs.
4. Build: Switch to Codex, provide the PRD, and ask it to build the website using sub-agents.
5. Improve: Open the preview and ask Codex to fix the biggest visible problem.
6. Publish: If Sites is available, Codex can publish the finished website using the Sites skill.
Bottom line: The workflow moves from idea → planning → research → coding → testing → publishing in one process.
